The name "Syntech" was derived from it's technical focus, Synthesizer Technology.
Over 30 Years in Business
Syntech Microwave was started in 1984 with a vision for specializing in high performance frequency synthesizers. In addition to synthesizers, the following years brought many opportunities to fill needs with various custom products covering a wide spectrum of the RF/Microwave field.
In 1995, production began in earnest, with the development of a highly integrated, compact satellite receiver used in GPS based offshore surveying equipment. This job, currently in production today, has placed nearly 3,000 units in the field.
SMI incorporated in May of 1998, and moved into high gear with the development of high performance dual synthesizers used in millimeterwave radios deployed worldwide. This program, also currently in production, has presently delivered over 2,000 units.
by 1999, development had begun in the area of radio transceivers and wireless subsystems. At this time, the company moved into the Franklin St. building in Nashua.
With business continuing to increase, it took about a year before more space was needed, and in the fall of 2001, SMI moved one floor up in the building to accompany its growing staff and area.
